When Grace and Simone arrived at the Trexler Nature Preserve for their engagement session, I immediately knew their session was going to be show-stopping.

But even more incredible?

Their amazing, international love story.

Grace and Simone are high school sweethearts with the most amazing twist: almost a decade ago, Simone came to the US from Italy to spend a year as a high school exchange student.

These two knew how difficult it can be to go through all the ups and downs of being a young adult, let alone while being apart from the one you care about the most. Honestly? It is a lot of pressure for two high schoolers. But somehow, Grace and Simone had maturity so far beyond most adults.

Being on separate continents did nothing to stop their love.

So Simone came back to New York to reunite with Grace for college. They’ve grown together, waiting for the timing to be right. Two years ago, Simone asked Grace to spend forever with him on the shores of Lake Como.

And like most things that are long awaited, the timing could not have been any sweeter.

Next year, they will return to Lake Como for their wedding. I can only imagine what a dream that will be! Grace and Simone, it was such an honor to witness your love! I can’t wait to see the journey your life takes you.
