Lexi and Tim’s wedding by the harbor in downtown Baltimore was one of the most incredible days that I’ve had the honor of photographing–partly because of the impeccably styled touches, but most importantly because of the overflowing joy and love from everyone surrounding the new husband & wife.
Lexi is a designer who created all of her own details, and her talent shines through the invitation suite and the timeless white florals, to the expertly coordinated bridesmaids dresses and the refined color palette of the day. She and Tim shared an emotional first look and private vows in front of the water. While their vows will stay between the two of them, I swear you can just feel their emotions from these images.
After the first look, we strolled throughout the inner harbor and Fell’s Point, taking romantic portraits that were so uniquely Baltimore. We ended the night with rooftop portraits, twirling in front of a dazzling sunset, celebrating the best day of their lives.
From the bride:
When Tim proposed in the middle of a pandemic, we weren’t quite sure how we would navigate through the new normal of planning a wedding. Thankfully, we somehow didn’t run into one pandemic issue, and our big day went as planned on June 12, 2021.
As a former event planner and current designer that focuses on event stationery, there was no doubt in my mind that I would be filling the shoes of “wedding planner” for our big day. And as a creator whose motto is, “I can do that” I quickly picked up many roles for our big day, including planner, designer, florist, and stationer.
My vision for the aesthetic of our wedding was modern, minimalist, and organic that would be timeless and stand out. Every detail from the flatware and linens to the centerpieces and stationery included a lovely pairing of neutral colors and natural textures, which coupled greatly with The Winslow’s industrial modern charm. Seeing my vision come to life, not only as a designer, but the bride was truly amazing.
The details didn’t stop at the décor. Tim and I made sure that we included special touches that meant so much to us and would help us remember our best day. We had the best time planning these details, like welcome bags with a touch of Baltimore and our favorite snacks, custom playlists, and cocktail napkins with our golden retriever, Cash, on them. Beautiful moments like a first look with my father, and a special dance to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” with my mother were the icing on the cake to a perfect day.
Sharing the first look with Tim and reading each other letters we wrote to one another was beautifully emotional and so special. But walking down the aisle, with both of my parents by my side and seeing Tim shed a tear, was by far one of the best moments of my life. Our ceremony was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Our favorite people filled the room with so much happiness, love, and laughter, and one of our dearest friends, Jerry, made the ceremony so special as our officiant.
We could not be more thankful for what was an absolutely perfect day that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
