Cheese danishes sound fancy, but it really does not get any easier than this!
Easy Cream Cheese Danishes
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons pure cane sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
a pinch of salt
1 can reduced fat crescents
Cream the cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla and salt. Beat on low until blended.
Open the can of crescent dough and unroll the sheet of dough. Pinch the seams together where you want them to be together, and break them apart where you want them apart. In other words, you decide what shape you want your danishes to be! I wanted squares, so I added the cream cheese filling and folded the corners over.
Bake at 375 for about 12-17 minutes on a parchment lined pan.
Drizzle with a simple powdered sugar glaze once they cool. Mix 3/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon milk. Mix well and add more milk if you want the glaze thinner.
