These remind me of one of the most awesome ice cream flavors ever: Half Baked. It is loaded with chunks of cookie dough and brownie, and it is as amazing as it sounds.


Likewise, these are as amazing as they look.

The cookie dough is eggless and safe to eat, and the whoopie pies are a cinch to make with a shortcut cake mix.


Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Whoopie Pies

1 chocolate cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of vegetable oil

Mix ingredients in a bowl with a mixer until well combined. Scoop heaping tablespoons full of batter into rounds on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool completely before filling.

Cookie Dough Filling
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup mini chocolate chips

In a mixer, cream together butter and both sugars. Add in vanilla and milk. Stir until combined. Slowly add in flour and mix until mixed well. Fold in chocolate chips. Fill ziplock or piping bag with cookie dough and pipe onto whoopie pies.
