Make this. It tastes like Christmas!

IMG_4149

It’s festive, easy, crunchy, and creamy, and the little hit of salt takes it over the top. Your holiday season will not be complete without it.

You’ll need some dark chocolate…

Crushed up candy canes (I think red and green is even prettier than red and white)

And some white chocolate

Which you will then melt

Spread out on a wax paper lined pan

Sprinkle with salt

And repeat with the white chocolate and candy canes!

Salted Chocolate Peppermint Bark

from Simply Scratch

1 cup dark chocolate
1 cup white chocolate
2 pinches sea salt
3 peppermint candy canes, crushed

Line an 8×8 pan with wax paper.

Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or double boiler. Remove and continue stirring until chocolate is completely smooth. Pour onto wax lined pan and spread out evenly. Sprinkle with sea salt and then place into the fridge until set.

Melt the white chocolate and pour over top. Smooth out with a spatula {dark chocolate might smear a little if the white chocolate is too warm}.

Sprinkle with the candy cane pieces, and gently press the pieces into the chocolate so they stick. Place the sheet pan back into the fridge to harden. Break apart and serve.
