Last weekend, I went to the Just Desserts festival in Bethlehem. I met up with Annamaria and Jackie (who are only two of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet) and we walked around downtown Bethlehem and sampled almost two dozen desserts from various restaurants and shops. Could my Friday night be any more perfect?! (Please hold the snide remarks. This is actually my idea of a wonderful night!)
I apologize for the underexposed, blurry pictures. I try to avoid using flash as much as possible…but this is not conducive to 7 pm photography.
Peanut butter and chocolate–obviously my favorite.
Best decision of the night? Giving the bread pudding a chance. I’ve always shied away from it because, let’s face it…it’s bread. pudding. Sounds gross right?
This was AMAZING! My favorite non-chocolate dessert by far.
Look who I found wandering the streets! 🙂 This is David. We’ve been friends for a while (just since kindergarten).
So adorable. Chocolate dipped caramel acorn topper
Gorgeously presented chocolate bacon cupcakes! Call me a wimp but I can’t bring myself to try these. I like the sweet and savory trend, but these are a bit too daring for me. Salted caramel or chocolate covered pretzels, I’ll do. But bacon and chocolate is going to take some convincing.
Pumpkin whoopie pies! Definitely on my fall to-bake list.
Broke my flash rule…sorry I’m not sorry! These candy corn rice krispy treats were too cute to leave out 🙂
I was so excited to see cake pops!
These are decorated so Bakerella-esque.
These are just like the cake balls that I make, except on sticks!
I love this picture because it makes me think of Christmas. I think it’s the twinkling background.
The lovely ladies of Oh Little Town of Cupcakes!
Too cute, mini pink cupcake!
This dessert fest was such a genius idea! Afterwards, we felt like we were going to burst…but in the best way possible. I really hope that one day I can participate in something like this. And thanks to Annamaria for being such a beautiful hand model!
Can’t wait to trade in my tasting passport for my real passport come January 🙂
